Training
Gator workouts consist of long, tempo, and recovery runs, speed work and races.
Long runs - distances vary depending on the athlete's age and build endurance for races.
Tempo runs - faster runs that focus on proper form. Shorter than long runs but longer than
races.
Recovery runs - post race/speed work runs. These are long slow distance runs (lsd) at
"talking pace".
Speed work - consists of hill training, and various lengths of interval training.
Races - the training focuses on skills that are used in races. This is where it all comes
together and every Gator measures their progress by how well they race.
All team members race... we are not a club or a training center.
